New Sickness Policy – The Village Beauty Studio | Waimauku, Auckland, NZ | Holistic Skincare • Skin Coaching • Beauty Therapy

This notice has been sent out to our client database as both a text and an email, as not all of our clients are on each list. Apologies if you receive this twice!

To all my beautiful clients,

Please look after me, so I can look after you.

Due to the nature of our business and the physical closeness we share as client & therapist, if you are sick (or have recently been sick) please consider rescheduling your appointment. I have been very sick due to contagious stomach flu (it completely knocked me off my feet!). I try my best to be here for you in the best health that I can be. It is disappointing for both of us if I have to cancel your appointment as you don’t get the treatment you want when you want & I then have to work overtime to get back on track. Please, please be considerate.

I completely understand that unanticipated events happen in everyone’s life. However, in my desire to deliver the best treatments for you, remain fair to all clients, and out of consideration for my (and any other therapists’) time, we have adopted a new sickness policy. This has always been an expected courtesy, but due to the intimate nature of the work we do, we have changed this courtesy to a policy (see below).

On a positive note, thank you to those who already follow this courtesy. I also want to thank all clients who respect my time by arriving early or being on time to their appointments. And those who communicate with me well when it comes to being late, rescheduling or cancelling an appointment. I really appreciate it, it makes my day run smoothly.

Thank you for looking after me, so I can look after you.

Should you be unwell (even if it’s just a cough or cold), we kindly ask you to please let us know as soon as possible so that we can reschedule for another time.

For the health and safety of our therapist and all hygiene practices, we define sickness as any illness you can pass onto another. Please use common sense here.

Should your therapist be unwell on a day you have an appointment, you will be contacted as soon as possible to reschedule. If available, we will offer to move you with another therapist. We will cancel appointments occasionally when a therapist is ill, has conflicting medical appointments of their own, or is attending a course to further their education. We do our best to keep these to a bare minimum and you will not be charged any fee if this occurs.
